SkyDrive Finalizes Agreement in UAE for 20 eVTOL Aircrafts
This agreement signifies SkyDrive's initial thorough investigation of commercial parameters with a client outside of Japan. As a pivotal advancement in the international expansion of our operations, it underscores SkyDrive's dedication to catering to customers worldwide, as well as the significance SkyDrive attributes to conducting business in the UAE. The specifics addressed in the agreement encompass pricing considerations and delivery arrangements.
Furthermore, this collaboration positions AeroGulf Services, the leading helicopter charter operator in Dubai, to spearhead advanced air mobility in the Middle East, providing clients with access to state-of-the-art, zero-emission aviation technology.
Background
SkyDrive's objective is to "spearhead the once-in-a-century mobility revolution" by creating eVTOLs that seamlessly incorporate the skies into everyday transportation. After successful demonstration flights at the Expo 2025 in Osaka(*2), the company is now concentrating on the next significant milestone: achieving full-scale commercialization by 2028.
AeroGulf Service is committed to promoting a new tourism initiative that employs environmentally friendly, next-generation mobility. Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in February 2025 to evaluate commercial flight routes above the famous Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, the two companies later reached an agreement for a pre-order of up to 50 aircraft (*3).
